William J. Priore, 61, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 in Freemont Ind. while working on the Fawn River Restoration project.

William was born Dec. 6, 1952 in Youngstown, to the late William and Dinah (Marsch) Priore.

He made his home in Lynchburg with his only daughter, Megan Priore.

He graduated from Ursuline High School in 1970 and upon graduation attended Youngstown State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in geology. He completed a master of science degree in geology at Wright State University in 1984. He went on to own his own company, Strategic Sediment Solutions, and was mayor of Lynchburg for four years.

Bill had a lifelong love of geology and enjoyed collecting minerals, cooking, gardening, golfing, target shooting, and spending time with his daughter.

Along with his daughter, he leaves behind his special friend, Debbie Howard; his sister, Johanne (Priore) Edel; his niece, Theresa (Edel) Young; and nephew, Nicholas Young; along with his many cousins and friends he enjoyed spending time with.
