He was born June 14, 1948, in Ross County to the late Kermit and Margene (Merriman) Compher.
Bill was a graduate of Paint Valley High School, class of 1967. He worked for DT & I Railroad Maintenance.
Bill is survived by his children, Connie Compher of Greenfield, Angy (Michael) Inglesfield of Isle of Man, Andy Compher of Monroe, Mich., Dionne Edwards of Camden, Ohio and Shawn Compher and his fiancée Amber Irvin of Ottawa, Ohio; grandchildren, Toni and Summer Compher, Morgan Shadix, A.J. Compher, Jaiden, Bryson and William Compher; two great-grandchildren; his former wife, Darlene Compher of Greenfield; and his sisters, Mary Hoylman of Chillicothe and Dorothy (Hank) Goldman of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Ed Compher; and a brother Charles Compher.
Cremation services are being held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
