William "Bill" Willis, 71, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1947 in Nelsonville, the son of the late Bob Tedford Willis, Sr. and Mary Emma McCord Willis.
Bill was a United States Army veteran, where he served in Germany. He was a truck driver for 40 years, having driven for Valley Steel and Lever Diversity.
Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Marilyn Willis; four daughters, Mary DeBoard of Wilmington, Kimberly Everhart of Wilmington, Regina Willis of Clarksville and Donna Good of Tipp City; five grandchildren, Tyler DeBoard of Wilmington, Josh (Katelyn) DeBoard of Wilmington, J.D. (Betsy) Brooks of Wilmington, Jason Ferguson of Wilmington and Trenton Brown of Tipp City; three great-grandchildren, Providence DeBoard, and Boone and Vera Brooks.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Bob T. Willis, Jr.; and a grandson, Brent DeBoard.
Graveside services will be held at Clinton County Memory Gardens Thursday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m., where the Wilmington American Legion Post 49 will accord full military honors.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Wednesday, Jan. 2 from 4-7 p.m.
