William “Bill” F. Randolph, 76, of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
He was born the son of the late Fred and Ada (Hayes) Randolph on March 23, 1941 in Cincinnati.
Bill was a member of the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Phi Delta Theta and the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association. He worked as a salesman for Corning Inc. for many years. Bill loved to spend his time playing golf and with his family. Bill raised horses on the family farm, “Chandobi,” that he creatively named after the members of his family.
In addition to his mother, Ada Randolph, Bill is survived by his wife, Doris Hargy Randolph, whom he married on June 6, 1964 in Cincinnati; two children, Annie (Kurt) King of Chillicothe and Chad (Amanda) Randolph of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Randy King, Emmy (Rhodes) Farrell, KJ King, Calvin King, Katy Randolph and Kelsey Randolph; and a close cousin, Pat (Bob) King of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Randolph; and a brother-in-law, J. Eric Hargy.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, 285 Pearl St, Lynchburg. Funeral services will take place immediately following visitation at noon on Saturday at the church. Rev. David Wirth will officiate with assistance from Rev. Kurt King. Burial will follow at Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bill’s memory to the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 403, Lynchburg, Ohio 45152.
