Vivian Joan Trefz Siders, 93, passed away Feb. 16, 2021 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born in Adams County on April 28, 1927.
She married her high school sweetheart, James Harold Siders, on Jan. 5, 1946, and they were happily married for 75 years. She raised five sons and one daughter, working as a full-time homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kathy), Anthony (Connie), Andrew (Beth), Timothy (Ronda) and Nathan Jan; her daughter, Althea (Larry Caplinger); 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, James, who passed away Jan. 17, 2021; and a grandson, Aaron Timothy Siders.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciations to Ross County Home Health, Adena Regional Medical Center and Union Township EMS for the exceptional care they provided for Joan on several occasions.
A funeral service will be held for the family Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Richmond Dale Church of God with Pastor Ron Cottrill and Pastor John Evans, Jr. officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Richmond Dale Church of God Facebook page starting at 10:30 a.m. A public graveside service will follow at the Little Mound Cemetery in Richmond Dale at approximately 11:20 a.m.
