Virginia L. Stratton, 81, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center in Maysville.
She was born Dec. 29, 1939 in New Vienna, the daughter of the late Alvin and Iva Mae (Harris) Quigley.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David B. Stratton, whom she married on July 30, 1966 in Willettsville. She is also survived by a son, Mike (Joannie) Hopkins of Leesburg; a stepson, Jim Stratton of Chillicothe; two stepdaughters, Leigh Ann Dubois of Crawfordsville, Fla. and Lori (Mike) Crossley of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Michelle (Jason), Tyler, Shawn, Brooke, Miguel and Brittany; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Goldie Adams of Leesburg and Wilma Corwin of Greenfield; a brother, Grover (Delores) Quigley of Greenfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Allen Stratton and Steve Hopkins; a granddaughter, Andrea Hopkins; and a brother-in-law, Gene Adams.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Pastor Rich Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
