Vern Franklin Williams, 83, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at his home.
He was born May 8, 1936 in Lawton, Ky., the son of the late R. Anthony and Ana Mae (Bair) Williams.
Vern was a United States Navy veteran and retired as head custodian from Willowville Elementary in Batavia after 30 years of service. He attended Marshall Church of Christ. He was also a former member of the senior citizens center and choir.
Surviving are his daughter, Toni (Robert) Martin of Seaman; son, Matthew Williams of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Ethan Martin, Emily Fite and India Williams; great-grandson, Gavin Fite; and three sisters, Geraldine (Robert) Horsley of Delta, Colo., Bernice (Myron) Liming of Greenfield and Dottie Williams of Milford.
In addition to his parents, Vern was preceded in death by a brother, Herdis Talmadge Williams; and his significant other, Doris Hackney.
Per Vern's wishes, there will be no services held.
