Velma F. Crouch, 87, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2018, at Doverwood Village in Fairfield Township.
She was born in Tate Township of Clermont County on Feb. 9, 1931, the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Stewart) Daugherty.
She was a 1949 graduate of Williamsburg High School. On Oct. 16, 1953, she married Paul Crouch in Hamilton. Following their divorce in 1977, he preceded her in death on March 6, 1988.
Following Williamsburg, she lived for many years in the Lindenwald section of Hamilton and Fairfield, working at Western & Southern, General Electric and Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. Velma enjoyed knitting and sewing and worked as a seamstress in a Gentry Shops men’s clothing store. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her pet cats and dog. Until most recently, Velma lived in Hillsboro.
Survivors include her only child and son, Gary Crouch of Batavia; three grandchildren, Megan (David) Bettle, Candice (Nick) Lilje and Adam Crouch; five great-grandchildren, Zoe, Zander and Zavier Bettle and Addie and Calvin Lilje; and a sister, Mary Evelyn (Daugherty) Rolf.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to her numerous devoted caregivers.
Time and place for memorial service is to be determined.
