Vasile Cioca, 81, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 16, 1939 in Sebesul De Sus, Romania, the son of the late Gheorghe Cioca and Ana Totan Cioca.
From 1976 until 2004, Vasile worked as a die mechanic for Irwin Auger Bit, Newell/Rubbermaid and American Tool.
He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, where he served as an usher.
Surviving are his two sons, Vasile “Mike” (Liliana) Cioca of Cincinnati and Sorin Cioca of Wilmington.
Vasile was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Cioca; two brothers, John Cioca and George Cioca; and his sister, Maria Florea.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, May 14, 2021, noon - 1 p.m.
