Travis William Gard

Travis William Gard, 38, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.
Travis was born in Hillsboro on June 15, 1976, the son of Dale William and Peggy Jean (Juillerat) Gard of Hillsboro.
Travis was a graduate of the class of 1994 from Hillsboro High School and received his associate degree from Southern State Community College. He was a member and deacon of the Union Church of Christ; supervisor at PAS Technologies, Inc. in Hillsboro; an avid leather craftsman; and a member of the NRA. He loved horses and roping, was a huge Michigan fan and was a great dad, husband, son and brother.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Krista (Foster) Gard, to whom he was united in marriage May 19, 2007; one daughter, Blair; one son, Blaine; sister and brother-in-law Megan and Greg Abbott of Hillsboro; two nephews, Greyson and Pierce Abbott; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold Marion and Wanda (West) Foster; best buddy Timex; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herschel and Norma Juillerat and Blair and Christine Gard.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at the Union Church of Christ, 3021 N. Taylorsville Rd., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133, where friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Union Church of Christ.
