Tom Tumbleson, 78, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.  
 
He was born March 27, 1943 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Charles and Letha (Johnson) Tumbleson.
 
Tom was a United States Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Tumbleson Automotive Repair and Wrecker Service for over 40 years, along with several Sunoco Stations in Wilmington.

Tom was a member of the Wilmington V.F.W. Post 6710, Wilmington American Legion Post 49 and Wilmington Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 1224. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his race car, hunting, fishing and his dog Thunder, but he loved spending time with his family the most. Tom was a loving father and grandfather. Saying he was highly adored by his grandbabies is an understatement.
 
Surviving are his two daughters, Lori (Todd) Tumbleson of Clarksville and Mandy Milburn of West Chester; seven grandchildren, Ashley Victor, Lorin (Cameron) Youngblood, Thomas (Maria) Tumbleson, Jensen (Tori) Camp, Brooke (Jeremy) Pescini, Katti (Michael) Ricke and P.J. Biddle; eight great-grandchildren, Abbie Fields, Ashlyn Fields, Everley Youngblood, Caden Youngblood, Emily Ford, Spencer Pescini, Carson Pescini and Olivia Ricke, and a great-grandchild on the way, Trace Tumbleson; two brothers, Mike Lewis and Jim (Vicky) Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by the love of his life, Karen Kay Tumbleson; two sisters, Patricia Clouser and Rosie Spurlock; and a brother, Richard Tumbleson.
 
Private funeral services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Friday, April 9, 2021 with Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 will accord full military honors.
  
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 4-6 p.m.
