Tom Cook

Tom Cook, 72, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 at home surrounded by family.
 
He was born Sept. 22, 1952, in Chillicothe, the son of Robert and Bertha (Fisher) Cook.
 
Tom was a 1971 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenfield, Fraternal Order of Eagles of Greenfield and the Highland County Farm Bureau.
 
He was a 38-year employee of Mac Tools in Sabina and a lifelong farmer on the family farm.
 
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Friedman) Cook, whom he married on Aug. 12, 1979; two daughters, Valerie Cook (Kyle) Williams and Debbie Cook; two grandsons, Porter and Moxley Williams; one brother, John (Mae) Cook; cousins, Chuck (Bev) Coffey, Ron (Dianna) Coffey; special pet, Max the cat; and numerous grandpuppies and grandkitties.             
 
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and James Cook; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 at First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Click officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Family Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at the church.
 
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, 457 Jefferson Street, Greenfield 45123, First Baptist Church of Greenfield, 250 Lafayette Street, Greenfield 45123 or McClain High School FFA Scholarship Fund, 200 N. Fifth Street, Greenfield 45123.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
