Tobi Lee Miley

Tobi Lee Miley, 57, of Goose Creek, S.C., passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in 1967 on Lockbourne AFB, Columbus, to the late David M. Miley Sr. and the late Nancy Eileen (McDonald) Miley.

Tobi was a 1985 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and then attended Ohio University. Tobi was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Tobi was an accomplished illustrator, having been sought out to illustrate sign language books for the hearing impaired. Tobi has been commissioned numerous times to design tattoos for many, including family members. He was an incredible dramatic actor/director in high school and in local productions in his hometown of Greenfield, Ohio before relocating to South Carolina. Tobi was a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.

Tobi fiercely loved his family, was a true and loyal friend, and he had a heart as big as all of the outdoors. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Nazario) Miley; one son, Tobias Miley; one daughter, Rebakah Miley; one brother, David M. Miley Jr.; one sister, Jennifer (Perry) Johnson; mother-in-law, Lydia Nazario; sisters-in-law, Alba Duvall, Sarah (Ismael) Pessoa and Ashley (James) Toole; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Mya; and both parents.

In accordance with Tobi’s wishes, he was cremated, and his cremains will be buried with his parents in Greenfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
