Timothy “Tim” Curtis Thompson, 42, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at his home.
He was born Jan. 3, 1979, in Wilmington, the son of Michael and Carole (Landess) Thompson.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, serving time in Guatemala and Norway. He was a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ, and he enjoyed listening to old country music, playing card games and video games.
Tim and his wife, Megan, love children and have served as foster parents for the past 10 years, as well as helping with respite care. They have fostered over a dozen children, five of whom they have adopted. Tim will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Megan Thompson, whom he married Nov. 7, 2009 in New Vienna; five children, Lanie (Devin) Thompson, Kaylee Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Sammy Thompson and D.J. Thompson; his parents, Michael and Carole Thompson of Lynchburg; maternal grandmother, Dolly Landess of Hillsboro; two brothers, Jason (Stephanie) Thompson of Hillsboro and Steven Thompson of Fairborn; a niece, Annabelle Thompson; two nephews, Gage Thompson and Luke Thompson; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Roseanna Curtis of New Vienna; a brother-in-law, Brian (Casey) Curtis of New Vienna; three nephews-in-law, Crosley Curtis, Bentley Curtis and Blakeley Curtis; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Galo Landess.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Funeral service will take place following visitation Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Burial, with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard, will follow services in the Barker Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cathy’s Kids, which provides Christmas gifts to foster children, c/o Ferno Washington, 70 Weil Way, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
