Thomas “Tom” Birkhimer, 73, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at his home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1945 in Pennsylvania, the son of Robert and Jane (Krommes) Birkhimer.
Tom was a bricklayer for over 40 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Tom is survived by his mother, Jane Birkhimer of Greenfield; four sons, Alvin Birkhimer of Hillsboro, John Birkhimer of Greenfield, Scott Birkhimer of Dayton and Brian (Tanya) Birkhimer of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren, Brooklyn Routt of Hillsboro, Elizabeth House of Florida, Chelsea West of Greenfield, Robert Birkhimer of Hillsboro, Breann Istvan of Cincinnati, Evan Birkhimer of Cincinnati, Joshua Birkhimer of Hillsboro, Breanna Birkhimer of Hillsboro, Brittany Birkhimer of Hillsboro and Eli Birkhimer of Hillsboro; four great-grandchildren; five siblings, Roberta (Barry) Runnels of Washington Court House, Cindy Lyle of Greenfield, Robert (Becky) Birkhimer of Hillsboro, Rebecca (Mike) Stafford of Greenfield, and Beth Birkhimer of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Birkhimer; and a brother, Chris Birkhimer.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
