Teddy L. “Ted” Jackson, 72, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025 at the Miami Valley Hospital.  

He was born May 31, 1952 in Dayton, the son of the late Andrew Jr. and Betty Lou (Frazee) Jackson.  

Ted was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ and had retired after a long career as a truck driver. He had a real love of farming and gardening and talking to others about his love for Jesus. Ted was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 51 years, Sue (Coomer) Jackson, whom he married on April 6, 1974 in Lebanon. He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jesse Smith of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Brandon (Roshell) Peters of Lynchburg, John (Gail) Lake III of Blanchester, Madison Lake of Lynchburg and Savannah Smith of Lynchburg; four siblings Andrea (Rick) Clemons, Jack (Angel) Blevins, Richard (Kim) Blevins and Norma (Ron) Smalley; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends. He also leaves his loyal companion “Daphne.” 

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. Kenny Zugg and Jeff Blevins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
