Susie Wagoner, 69, of Hillsboro, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

She was born on May 29, 1953, in Roanoke, Va., and was the daughter of the late Charles and Inez (Walker) Harsha.

Her passions were her children, grandchildren and dogs. Susie loved cooking and entertaining for friends and family in the home that she and her best friend and life-long husband built together.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug Wagoner, whom she married Aug. 8, 1971. Together, they created an incredibly close family full of love and laughter.

Susie is adored, loved, and will be dearly missed by her two children, JD (Megan) Wagoner of Hillsboro and Ali (Andy) Ferguson of Key West, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jack, Ryan, and Anni Wagoner and Jake Ferguson; sisters-in-law, Terri (Tom) Balser, Kathy Wagoner and Deborah Harsha; dear friends, Mark Middleton, Sam and Daun Snyder, and Judy Peavyhouse; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles “Sandy” Harsha; and a dear friend, Colleen Elmore.

A celebration of Susie’s life will take place at the Good News Gathering on Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with a short service to follow. (Dress is casual.)

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Humane Society, P.O. Box 471, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
