Stanley Dale Crabtree, 40, of Hillsboro, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home.
He was born the son of Joseph Crabtree and Cherri Pitzer on Dec. 5, 1976 in Wilmington.
Stanley attended Carpenter’s House of Prayer and loved to read the Bible to his son. He enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. He loved fishing and was very excited and proud of his 3-year-old son when he caught his first fish. Stanley was an avid member of 4-H and FFA during his teen years and showed horses for many years. He worked as a truck driver throughout most of his life. Stanley was always there lending a helping hand when anyone needed it. He was known and loved greatly by many and will be deeply missed.
Stanley is survived by his father, Joseph (Debra) Crabtree of Grand Prairie, Texas; mother, Cherri Pitzer of Hillsboro; son, Landon Chase Crabtree; sister, Tanga Pitzer of Hillsboro; two nieces, Sarah Larrick and Isabella Simmons, both of Hillsboro; several aunts and uncles, Sandy Peters of Hillsboro, Jackie Lunsford of Hillsboro, Judy Cooper of Hillsboro, James (Sherry) Mills of Hillsboro, Jeanette (Steve) McCoy of Texas, Joyce Daulton of Texas and Jack Crabtree of Texas; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Libby Crabtree and Orba and Dorothy Mills.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Carpenter’s House of Prayer. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Carpenter’s House of Prayer. Pastor Kim Zornes will officiate.
