Spencer Ely Smith

Spencer Ely Smith, 20, of Bainbridge, died unexpectedly Monday, March 17, 2014 due to an automobile accident.
He was born Feb. 28, 1994 in Portsmouth, the son of Rex A. Smith and Kimberly L. Cantrell Smith.
Spencer was a cowboy at heart and a lover of all animals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Bill Hallam; fiancé, Lana Gragg; brothers, Rex A. (Brandi) Smith, Jr. and Nate L. (Sasha) Smith; half-brothers, Justin and Brian Mick; grandmother, Frances Cantrell; uncle, Mike (Melanie) Mick; sister-in-law, Katie Reynolds; and many friends including special friends, Dusty Fuller, Cody Darlington and Jesse Mick; and many nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind his rescue
cat, Oreo and his pit-bull, Cassi.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tyler A. “Gump” Smith; cousin, Valerie Williams and his grandfather, Frank Cantrell.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Brookes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery, and everyone that’s planning on going to the cemetery is asked to drive your truck if you are able to. A
gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.
