Sirkka L. Buller, 84, of Sardinia, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Forest Hills Care Center in Cincinnati.
She was born Dec. 21, 1932 in Viipuri, Finland, the daughter of the late Vaino Johennes Tolbanen and Edla Vesala Tolbanen.
Sirkka was a member of Mowrystown Presbyterian Church and had worked at Brown County Hospital for over 30 years as a nurse's aide. She moved from Finland to Canada, then to Ohio, where her family decided to stay.
Surviving are a son, Terry Buller of Sardinia; two daughters, Gina (Bill) Barnett of Sardinia, and Anne (Mike) Cornell of Beavercreek; seven grandchildren, David (Christy) Buller, Gordy Buller, Nathan (Angie) Buller, Joey Barnett, Shane Barnett, Taylor Cornell, and Adam Cornell, three great-grandchildren, Grant, Justin, and Harper Buller; a sister-in-law, Una Jamieson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sirkka was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Buller; a grandson, William Joshua Barnett; and a brother, Paavo Tolbanen.
Services will be held at Mowrystown Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kraig Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
