Shelly Marie Sheridan, 54, of the Rainsboro community, passed away Nov. 8, 2017 while on a mission trip to Kenya.
She was born July 20, 1963 in Lancaster, the daughter of Earl Junior “Coop” Culp of Rushville and the late Jacquelyn Hedges Culp.
Shelly was a pre-school educator at heart and worked as a nanny. She was blessed with a large and loving family and married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Scott Sheridan, on Nov. 22, 1980 in Cocoa, Fla. Together, they raised five children with patience, discipline and humility. She taught them to read, write and lives their lives for Christ. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the God’s Word.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by four daughters, Shannon Marie (David) Kleinknecht of Stanwood, Wash., Hannah Christine Sheridan of Seattle, Wash., Rebekah Ruth (Jeff) Breeden of Cross Lanes, W.Va. and Mary Elizabeth Sheridan of Leesburg; one son, Stephen Mark (Christa) Sheridan of Rockledge, Fla.; four granddaughters, Zoey and Cailin Kleinknecht, Jade Green and Leigha Breeden; and one sister, Tammy (Mike) Stoneburner.
