Sharon Lee Bales, 66, of Leesburg, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019.
She was born July 18, 1953 in Washington C.H., the daughter of the late John D. and Jane (Garen) Aldridge.
She raised two sons, Chris and John Bales. Sharon loved the ocean and she is known for her kind and compassionate spirit.
She is survived by two sons, Chris (Ashley) Bales of Sardinia and John (Dana) Bales of Wilmington; two sisters, Jana Armstrong of Leesburg and Kathy (Mitch) Mitchell of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Matthew, Brook and Kate; one great-grandchild, Lakota; several nieces and nephews; great lifelong friends, Victor and Susan Adams; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Kaye Aldridge; and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg with Victor Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Samantha Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family in c/o Turner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 252, Leesburg 45135.
