Sharon Kay Lamb, 65, of New Vienna, passed away at her residence Friday, Sept. 22, 2017. ?

Sharon Kay was born in Hillsboro on Nov. 28, 1951, the daughter of the late William Edward and Margaret C. (Overman) Gorman.

Sharon Kay was employed at Hillsboro and Wilmington Frisch’s for 30 years. ??On April 24, 1995, Sharon Kay was united in marriage to Ronald Lamb, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Steve (Becky) Gorman of Hillsboro; one daughter, Teresa (Randy) Smith of Hillsboro; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Mullenix of Waynesville; six grandchildren whom she was proud of, especially Chase Gorman, who is serving in the U.S. Navy, Noah Gorman, Chandler Gorman, Britany Johnson, Miranda Smith and Michaela Smith; two step-granddaughters, Taylor Morgan and Gage Mullenix; one great-grandchild, Corbin Rapp; one brother, James (Linda) Gorman of Hillsboro; one sister, Donna Sue Gorman of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Peterson and Malinda Jane O’Cull. ?

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27 from noon-2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by graveside services at Hillsboro Cemetery.
