Ruth Sutton, 87, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1934 in Charles Town, W.Va., the daughter of the late Charles and Emmeline Howell.
On July 26, 1949, she married Wallace Washington Sutton, who passed away April 5, 2010.
Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro.
Surviving are her two daughters, Betty (Paul) Burwinkle of Fayetteville and Mary Brault of Hillsboro; sister, Beulah Goris of Daytona, Fla., six grandchildren, Paul (Michelle) Burwinkle, Jason Burwinkle, Lori (Artie) Johnson, David Sutton, Michael Brault and Keenan Brault; and 10 great-grandchildren, A.J., Aybree, Jaxson, Isabella, Trey, Abigail, J.D., Madeline, Mason and Kristin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her 15 brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Kevin Brault.
Private graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at Roberts Cemetery, Edwards Road, Taylorsville, with Pastor Clay Self officiating.
Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown is serving the family.
