Ruby Crabtree, 95, of Hillsboro, died Monday March 18, 2013 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

Mrs. Crabtree was born Nov. 21, 1917, the daughter of William and Alice (Ross) Cox in Scioto County.

Mrs. Crabtree attended the Wesley Chapel.

Survivors include four daughters, Bernice Shaffer of West Union, Ruth Crabtree of Lynchburg, Kathy Dickson of Yuma, Ariz. and Shirley Shepherd of West Union; one son; Rick Crabtree of Hillsboro; two sisters; Margaret Luce of Columbus and Genevieve Riley of Otway; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Crabtree.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery with Rick Cole officiating under the direction of the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union.

Memorials can be made to the Heartland of Hillsboro, 1141 Northview Drive, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
