Roy W. Goddard, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Valley View Nursing Home in Frankfort.
 
He was born Nov. 29, 1933 in Ross County, the son of William “Bill” and Myrtle Jane (Fryman) Goddard.
 
Roy retired from Greenfield Printing and was a former seed salesman at Kenworthy Seed Company in Greenfield. He enjoyed playing music, cards and fishing and owned A&J Lawn and Garden Shop.
 
He is survived by one son, Thomas W. Goddard (Kim Cooper) of Circleville; four daughters, Sharon (Dick) Burba of Hillsboro, Melissa (Jim) Wical of Greenfield, Elizabeth (Mark) Wagner of New Petersburg and Jennifer (Tony) Sowards of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Sally Goddard of Greenfield; and many nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Ann Goddard, whom he married Nov. 23, 1953; two brothers, Tea and Shorty Goddard; one sister, Ruby Fryman; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 12 at noon at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home. Jeans and casual attire are encouraged.
