Ronald Lee Wilson, 76, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his home.
He was born Oct. 31, 1944 in Peebles, the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Moore) Wilson.
He was a custodian at Washington Elementary School in Hillsboro for many years, and he served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Jones) Wilson; his children, Rhonda (Tom) DeHaas of Lynchburg, Ronald (Melissa) Wilson, Jr., David (Michelle) Wilson and Sarah Dickson of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his siblings, James (Donna) Wilson of Springfield, Robert (Darlene) Wilson, Gary (Zanda) Wilson and Garnett Conn, all of Peebles, Mary Smith of Highland, Shirley (Gary) Johnson of Wilmington and Diane (Steve) Campbell of Washington C.H.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Paul Conn.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 4 at 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro with chaplain David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Peebles with military rites to be accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until time of the service at the funeral home.
