Ronald G. Mahaffey, Sr., 89, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, July 17 at UC Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born Sept. 11, 1931 in Clinton County, the youngest child of John E. Mahaffey and Zelma I. Mahaffey.
Ronald married Mary Beers on Sept. 28, 1950. She proceeded him in death, May 8, 2020.
Survivors include their children, sons, Ronald (Faye) Mahaffey, Jr. and Eric Mahaffey; daughter, Joyce (Richard) Gragg; four grandchildren, Kate (Jeff Lockard) Mahaffey, Michael (Michelle) Mahaffey, Jessica (Mark) Morely and Jeremy (Monica) Gragg; seven great-grandchilchildren, Dominic, Vinny and Luca Giannuzzi, Kaylee, Matthew, Laura and Daniel Morley.
He was preceded in death by all his siblings, brothers, Donald F. and John W. Mahaffey; sisters, Dolly Tolle, Cara Belle Jones and Betty Hill.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home at noon Thursday, July 22, with Pastor Paul Crisp officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Thursday, July 22 10 a.m.-noon.
