Roger Winston Jacob

Roger Winston Jacob, 65, of Belfast passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1950 in Dayton, the son of the late Howard and Ethel (Scott) Jacob.
Mr. Jacob was a 1968 Hillsboro High School graduate, and he was a self-employed carpenter of over 45 years. He was a great cook, avid gardener and he loved his family and his cabin.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Lynch Jacob whom he married on Nov. 8, 1974; three children, Tisha (Jim) Marsh of Wilmington, Jordan Freeze of Hillsboro and Zackary (Nicola) Jacob of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren, Garret, Trent and Sloan Marsh, all of Wilmington; three siblings, Verdena (Michael) Rotalsky of North Carolina, Donna (Albert) Julian of Tennessee and Byron Jacob of Circleville; three sisters-in-law, Vicki Jacob of Hillsboro, Lola Lynch of Hillsboro and Ebbie Van Pelt of Leesburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Garrie Knox; and a son-in-law, David Freeze.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial for Roger from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at the Sunnyside Church of Christ, 6670 US 50 West, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. The church is located right next to the Highland County Water Company.
