Rodney Neal 'Doc' Zimmerman

Rodney Neal “Doc” Zimmerman, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at Signature Health Care of Chillicothe. 

He was born Aug. 12, 1962 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Charles Sr. and Nellie (Goins) Zimmerman.

 He is survived by three daughters, Lindsey Finley of New Vienna, Alexia Zimmerman and Jada Zimmerman; an uncle, Daniel Sr. (Linda) Zimmerman of Hillsboro; siblings, Sherry (David) Young of Hillsboro, Cathryn Zimmerman of Columbus, Pamela Zimmerman of Hillsboro, Carla (Wesley) Burns of Hillsboro, Terri (Lee) Smith of Hillsboro, Carl Zimmerman of Greenfield and Eric Zimmerman of Hillsboro; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen and Charlene Zimmerman; and two brothers, Charles Zimmerman Jr. and Tyrone Lawrence. 

A visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, when a funeral service will begin.  Charles Rickman Jr. will officiate. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow services.
