Robert Lee “Bob” Bernard, 75, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022.
He was born July 3, 1946 in Greenfield, the son of the late Paul and Grace (Fent) Bernard.
Bob was a graduate of Leesburg High School and retired after 25 years of service from the East Clinton Schools.
Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly (Garrison) Bernard, whom he married Sept. 6, 1965; son, Barry (Wendy) Bernard of Hillsboro; son-in-law, David Allen of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeff) Tadlock of Hillsboro, Kylie Allen of Lexington, Ky., Corey Allen of Hillsboro, Devan Bernard of Hillsboro and Lyndsey (Justin) Burnett of Highland; eight great-grandchildren, Xoi Walker, Daniel Tadlock, Gracie Smith, Lyrik Smith, Ellie Tadlock, Cade Shoemaker, Callie Burnett and Ada Burnett; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Julia (Don) Bidwell of Grove City and Jackie Garrison of North Olmsted; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Allen; brother, Rodney Bernard; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eloise and Ralph Garrison; and brother-in-law, Otis Garrison.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
