Robert J. Acton, 64, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton.
He was born Oct. 19, 1958 in Greenfield, the son of Robert William and Mary Lou (Heaton) Acton.
He was a 1977 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and a member of the Greenfield Antique Tractor and Machinery Club.
He was employed at W.A. Hodson Trucking in Leesburg for the past 25-plus years.
He is survived by one son, Jeff R. Acton (Sonia Chenault) of Waverly; one daughter, Tabby (Jeremy) Huff of New Vienna; four grandchildren, Zane Robert Acton, Kaylee Ann Acton, Toby Huff and Maggie Huff; mother, May Lou Acton of Greenfield; two sisters, Lea Anne (Bruce) Gabriel of Greenfield and Barb (David) Mullikin of South Salem; one brother, Danny (Tracey) Acton of Greenfield; his girlfriend, Mary Johannes; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation will take place, and a visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
There will not be a service observed.
