Rick Walker, Sr., 63, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born Feb. 28, 1958 in Brown County, the son of Harold Eugene Walker and Rosemary Barber Walker.
Rick was a pastor and Sunday school teacher at the Love Light Gospel Chapel in Selma. He worked at Harris Product Group for 40 years. He enjoyed going to car shows, hunting, traveling and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma "T.I." Walker, whom he married June 26, 1976; two sons, Rick (Amanda) Walker, Jr. and Jake Walker; three grandchildren, Rick Walker, III, Liberty Walker and Olivia Walker; his mother, Rosemary Eversole; three sisters, Tammy (Randy) Hibbs, Annette (John) Burnett and Michelle (Wayne) Devilbliss; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by father; four brothers-in-law, Bill South, Junior South, Mike South and Jerry South; and a sister-in-law, Cindy South.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home in Wilmington on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Carey officiating. Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 5-7 p.m.
