Rick Gunter

Rick Gunter, 70, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 14, 1954 in Dayton, the son of the late Paul and Jackie Wilcox Gunter.

On Aug. 6, 1984, Rick married the former Beth Willett.
 
Four years ago, Rick confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and was saved. He worked in home construction for several years. Rick loved the outdoors and the times he spent fishing and squirrel hunting. 

Rick is survived by his wife, Beth, of Greenfield; four children, Hope Gunter of Greenfield, Hannah Gunter (Brandon Higginbotham) of Hillsboro, Hailey Sweeney (Jon Beatty) of Greenfield and Caden Gunter (Mya Penwell) of Greenfield; grandchildren; Dahlia June “Rudy,” Madyson and Mackenzie Gunter and Emma Sweeney; one brother, Hughie (Barb) Gunter of Mowrystown; and a special nephew and niece, Tyler and Ava Willett.

Rick was preceded in death by his son, Sam Gunter; two brothers; and one sister.
 
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024 at 4 p.m. at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor Charles Gardner officiating. Family and friends can visit Sunday from 2 p.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home. Following the service, Rick will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses. Donations can be made through the funeral home’s website.
