Richard T. Vice II

Richard T. Vice II, known to many as Rick, 65, passed away suddenly Jan. 26, 2024 at his home in Martinsville. 

He was born in Dayton on June 7, 1958, to his late parents Richard Thomas and Peggy Ann (Weitzel) Vice. 

Rick graduated from Lebanon High School in 1976. Rick worked at Advics Manufacturing in South Lebanon, Ohio. He worked diligently and was known for his hard-headed approach to problem-solving. Outside of work, Rick lived a private and solitary life. He was a loner by nature but valued the friendships he did have. His good friend Lori Teboe of Martinsville was someone he cherished deeply. Despite his inclination toward solitude, Rick understood the importance of maintaining strong relationships with those he cared about.

In his free time, Rick took pride in being an avid supporter and member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He enjoyed staying up-to-date with the latest news and advancements related to firearms.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Vice.  

As his loved ones bid farewell to Rick, they remember him for the individual he was: resolute, self-sufficient and unapologetically forthright. His departure serves as a reminder that life can be fleeting; it is our duty to seize each moment and make the best of the time we have. May his memory be a source of inspiration for us all.  

No services are scheduled. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I was lucky enough to work with, and become good friends over the years. He was truly a great man. Condolences.
