Richard Michael Baldwin, 78, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Adams County on Nov. 6, 1943, the son of the late Leo Wayne and Mary (Rock) Baldwin.
Richard was a skilled finish carpenter in the Lynchburg and Hillsboro areas and was a huge San Francisco 49ers fan. In his younger days, he was an avid sportsman, including trap shooting, hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. Richard was an honorary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.
Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia Kay Perry of Wilmington; sons, Michael Wayne (Kelly) Baldwin of Chillicothe and Richard Jay (Julie) Baldwin of Minster; four grandsons, Forest, Michael, Ben and Luke Baldwin; four stepchildren, Tara (Craig) Michael, Matt (Nicole) Perry, Richard Perry and Latisha (Rick) Muller; seven stepgrandchildren; and sisters Barbara Runser of LaGrange and Deanna Hackett of The Villages, Fla.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Connie Colins, Kathy DeRose, Janet Williams and Nancy Baldwin; as well as two brothers, David and Harold Baldwin.
Services will be noon Wednesday, May 18 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, with Pastor John Laufer. Interment will follow at Harwood Cemetery near Pricetown.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon at the funeral home.
