Richard M. Bryan, 67, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at his home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1954 in Massillon, the son of the late Edgar M. and Vivian (White) Bryan.

He was a member of the New Vienna Church of Christ, and he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a machinist for General Electric and also worked for Cincinnati Milacron. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting and coaching baseball for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Denise (Naylor) Bryan, whom he married Nov. 15, 1975; one daughter, Rachel (Adam) Makuley of Noblesville, Ind.; six grandchildren, Dylan, Christian, Grace and Liam Bryan and Quinn and Caden Makuley; one great-grandson, Sawyer Bryan; three sisters, Connie (Pete) Noble of Stoutsville, Gina (Tom) Guill of Titusville, Fla. and Elizabeth Bryan of Dothan, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Bryan; and one brother, James M. Bryan.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Brad Clouse officiating. Burial will follow with military rites to be accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Family will receive friends from noon until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
