Richard H. Walker, 77, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born Dec. 30, 1943 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Ralph and Lois Lillian (Redkey) Walker.
He was a graduate of Whiteoak High School, class of 1961, where he was very active in FFA, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1972. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of New Life Church and Ministries. Richard had been a longtime dairy farmer in the community.
Surviving are his brother, Jerry (Nita) Walker of Hillsboro; three sisters, Joyce Proffitt of Reading, Nancy Rhoads of Cincinnati and Connie (Bob) Schienda of Manchester, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Stratton, Janet Walker, Carolyn Kay McLaughlin and stillborn sister, Anita Walker.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, with Rev. Bill Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery, Sugartree Ridge, Ohio, where the Highland County Honor Guard will accord full military honors.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021 from 5-7 p.m.
