Richard Eugene Ary

Richard Eugene Ary, 63, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at home.
 
He was born Oct. 24, 1959 in Greene County, the son of Richard Elwood and Betty Jean (Miley) Ary.
 
He coached little league in Greenfield for over 20 years and was an avid coonhunter and fisherman.
 
He was retired from Ferno-Washington of Wilmington, was formerly employed in law enforcement and farming and served in the 101st Airborne in the U.S. Army.
 
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Cannon) Ary whom he married June 14, 1980; two sons, Donnie (Ashley) Ary of Greenfield and Nick (Rebekah) Ary of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Eli, Easton, Lili, Crosley, Rimi and Nova; one brother, Gary (Patty) Daugherty of Manchester, six sisters, Carol (Marty) Jackson of Washington C.H., Rebecca Vance of Ashville, Sue Goble of Ashville, Nora Catt of Indiana, Rhonda Howland of Greenfield and Robyn Fryer of Washington C.H.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna and Donald Cannon; father, Richard Ary; and mother, Betty Jenkins.
 
Funeral service will be Friday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
 
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
