Richard Allen “A.B.” Blair, Jr., 54, of Hillsboro, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born April 20, 1959, the son of Richard A. and Helen Clemons Blair, Sr.

Allen was a 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School, played softball and bowled in many leagues around Hillsboro and Wilmington. He loved to play golf and was an outstanding cornhole player.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Jo Curliss Blair, to whom he was married July 22, 2000 in Hillsboro; mother Helen Blair of Hillsboro; children, Richard Allen Blair III of Cincinnati, Candice Renee Blair of Cincinnati and Kiara Elizabeth Blair of Hillsboro; grandchildren Rashad, Terrah and Miranda; siblings, Patricia Burns of Hillsboro, Pauletta Augustin of Hillsboro, Sandra Cumberland of Hillsboro, Robert (Mindi) Blair of Cincinnati and Rodney Blair of Hillsboro; father-in-law Larry Curliss of Wilmington; brother-in-law Brian Curliss of Louisiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Allen Blair, Sr.; maternal grandparents Harold and Roxie Clemons; paternal grandparents George and Louise Blair; mother-in-law Ronda Curliss; and brothers-in-law Lonnie Burns and Tyrone Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Jason Yochum will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
