Rev. Albert L. Cox, 78, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at the Soin Medical Center.
 
He was born in Piketon on July 28, 1939, the son of the late Claude and Judy (Skaggs) Cox.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, John Thomas Cox; great-grandson, Christian Hadler; two sisters, Louise Shoemaker and Delcie Knisley; five brothers, Willard, Noah, David, Philip and Richard Cox; and a daughter-in-law, Patti Cox.
 
Rev. Albert served in the United States Navy.
 
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Nichols) Cox; two sons, Rick (Eunice) Cox of Pittsburg and Leroy Cox of Cincinnati; two daughters, Cindi (Ernie) Johnson of Chillicothe and Barbara Baker of Miamisburg; daughter-in-law, Liz Cox of Chillicothe; brother, Eric (Connie) Cox of Florida; sister, Rose Everhart of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Alta Cox of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, Kenny, Scott and Rick Hadler, Joshua and Jeremy Johnson, Carol Hines, Richard, Timothy and Trevor Cox; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 
Services will be noon Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Pleasant Valley Plug Run Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1586 Mingo Road, Chillicothe. Burial will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
 
Friends may call from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday at the church.
