Raymona Dusseau Bogardus, 89, of Wilmington, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 with her loving family at her side.

She was born April 26, 1929 in Leesburg, the daughter of the late H. Eugene and Winona Pfister Guthrie.

Raymona was a lifelong member or the Leesburg United Methodist Church and attended the Wilmington United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 70 years, beginning with the Leesburg Chapter and is presently a member of Hillsboro Chapter 441.

On Dec. 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to the late Richard A. Dusseau. Raymona is survived by her husband, William B. Bogardus, whom she married on June 14, 1987; one sister, Henryetta (Joseph) Curtin; two children, Jeffrey (Trish) Dusseau of Chillicothe and Quentin (Cindy Baker) Dusseau of Wilmington; six stepchildren, Karen (Larry) Thill of Arizona, Linda (Bob) Dunsmore of Georgia, Tracy (Lisa) Bogardus of Arizona, Mark (Gena) Bogardus of Marysville, Dorene (Tom) Hardaway of Texas and Lynette (Balbair) Pal of Arizona; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephew and cousins.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by two brother, James L. and Sorency O. Guthrie and two grandchildren, Cory and Trevor Dusseau. Memorial services will be held 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Wilmington United Methodist Church with Eastern Star services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9:30-11 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmington United Methodist Church or to the Leesburg United Methodist Church. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
