Ralph Robinson, 78, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021 at his son Matthew's home.
He was born April 21, 1943 in Cartersville, Ky., the son of the late Lloyd Robinson and Nanny Eden Robinson.
A 1962 graduate of Clarksville High School, Ralph was inducted into the Clinton County Sports Hall of Fame in 2008, then again into the Clinton-Massie Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Ralph was a longtime farmer in the Clarksville area until he moved to Florida in the 1990s.
Ralph especially enjoyed fishing in retirement with his grandchildren Shelby and Luke.
He was married to Elizabeth Bowman, and together they were blessed with three children, Cindy, Mary and Matthew, and eight grandchildren.
Later, he married Jane Benny, who remains in Florida. In addition to his wife and children, other survivors include his brothers and sisters, Barbara Bowman, Judy Schnecker, Patricia Neumer, Dale Robinson, Brenda Fraley and Chris Robinson; and a special nephew, Ricky Robinson.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by brothers, James Robinson and Bill Robinson; and nephews, Daryl Robinson, Wayne Robinson and Brian Dixon.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Clarksville Cemetery.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
