Ralph Kirby Griffith, 74, of Hillsboro, passed away May 10, 2018.

He was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Hillsboro, where he lived all his life.

Ralph was an avid gun collector and a lifetime member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, the NRA, the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, the Highland County Coon Hunters and the American Legion. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Seabee. He retired from Delphi Harrison Radiators in 1998 after 35 years of service, worked at the Highland County Water Company and then retired from the US Postal Service New Vienna Station as a rural carrier in 2016.

He is survived by his daughter, Linsey (Kenneth Doughman) Griffith; son, Patrick (Patricia) Griffith; grandchildren, Tesla and Finnegan Doughman; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Griffith and Randall (Judith) Griffith; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dearly beloved wife of 47 years, Linda (Howard) Griffith; his father and mother, Lerman Earl Griffith and Madge (Mabel Cheney) Griffith; and an infant sister and elder half-brother.

Funeral services will be noon Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. Graveside services will immediately follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.
