Polly May Meyers | The Highland County Press

Polly May Meyers, 82, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024 at Salyer’s Adult Group Home in Hillsboro.

She was born Jan. 7, 1942 in Toledo, the daughter of the late Thomas Marion Schuler and Mary Josephine Tippon.

Polly worked as a Registered Nurse at Highland District Hospital and was Director of Nursing at Oakland Nursing Center for many years. Her most recent employment was with the Area Agency on Aging, from which she retired. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing. Her biggest joy in life was her family and her dog, Emma.

Polly is survived by her children, Janine Meyers and Jim (Christine) Meyers, both of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Davis, Savannah, Thomas Jessica, Lauren, Kiley, Lola and Captain; great-grandchildren, Owen and Oaklynn; and a sister, Vicky Locke.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mike” Meyers; and a brother, George Schuler.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal services will be held. Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
