Phyllis Roberts

Phyllis Roberts, 83, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at her home.
She was born March 29, 1932 in Mowrystown, the daughter of the late Gerald Roberts and Mildred Yochum Roberts.
Phyllis was a member of the Good News Gathering in Hillsboro and was baptized into the Mowrystown Church of Christ in 1941. In 1951, Phyllis married the father of her sons, Kenneth Yochum, who passed away in 1976. For the last 35 years, Phyllis and her husband Rodger have spent half the year living in Ohio and the other half at their home in Ft. Myers, Fla.
Surviving are her husband, Rodger Roberts, whom she married Dec. 25, 1971; three sons, Kent (Jill) Yochum of Hillsboro, Kevin (Anna) Yochum of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Kelly (Wendy) Yochum of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are two stepsons, Randy Roberts and Tim Roberts, both of Sugartree Ridge as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Caryl J. (Hugh) Eyre of Mowrystown, and a brother-in-law, Otto Tuttle of Chillicothe.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by two sisters, Letha Tuttle and Brenda Roberts.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. with John Bayard officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery, Taylorsville.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.
