Phyllis Irene "Corky"  (Priest) Bobbitt, 77, of Eustis, Fla., died Friday, March 25, 2011 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.



Phyllis was born in Leesburg and moved to Florida in 1983. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1951.

She 

worked at Candle-lite in Leesburg, Ranchero Village in Largo, Fla. and Oakbend in Ocala, Fla. as a park manager. She was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Flora Priest; and two brothers, Donald "Buc" Priest and Eugene "Sarge" Priest.



She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Delbert Lee Bobbitt, whom she married May 21, 1951; two sisters, Helen Duncan of Leesburg and Lou Brunty of Woodville; three children, Debra Renee (Steve) Teeters of Columbus, Ind., Todd Anthony (Christie) Bobbitt of Eustis, Fla. and Stacey Yvette (David) Emery of Eustis, Fla.; six grandchildren, Brent Teeters, Lesley (Tom) Horton, Austin and Allison Bobbitt, and Chelsea and Caleb Emery; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Cayden Horton.

Private services were held for the family.



In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Ave., 15th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10017[[In-content Ad]]
