Phyllis Gorman, 68, of the Belfast community, passed away late Thursday night, Sept. 15, 2016 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
She was born May 30, 1948 in Belfast, the daughter of the late Delbert Michael and Irma Margene Vance Michael.
Phyllis was a member of Mayhill Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Dick Gorman, whom she married on July 4, 1965; three children, Debbie (Jeff) Norris of Belfast, John (Cyndy) Gorman of Hillsboro and Michelle (Mack) Wolfenbarker of Belfast; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah (Dee) Norris, Kayla (Caleb) Moore, Amber Gorman, Trent Gorman, Brayden Wolfenbarker, Gracie Wolfenbarker, Bryce Wolfenbarker and Chandler Wolfenbarker; four great-grandchildren, Kamden, Jace, Corbin and Josie; brother, Jim (Jackie) Michael; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, David Michael.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Sept. 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charlie Gorman officiating. Interment will follow in the Coss Cemetery in Belfast.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
