Paul William 'Bill' Mills

Paul William “Bill” Mills, 85, of Bainbridge died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home.
He was born March 7, 1930 in Bainbridge, the son of the late Glenn and Mabel Campbell Mills.
On Sept. 5, 1952, he married, his wife of 63 years, Sarah M. Hartman Mills, who survives.
He is also survived by his children, Paul (Laura) Mills, Jr. of Cincinnati, Susan Martin of Greenfield, Tamela (William) Stout of Chillicothe, Timothy Ray (Lynn) Mills of Hamilton and Eric (Jennifer) Mills of Bainbridge; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred (Gene) Johnson of Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Mills Knisley; and brothers, John and Harold “Duke" Mills.
Paul was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was awarded three Bronze Stars. He retired from the Atomic Plant after 32 years of service as a security guard.
Paul was a member of The Church in Chillicothe and a member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 Free and Accepted Masons. He was a respected father and grandfather who dearly loved his grandchildren. He also liked woodworking and the outdoors.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 2 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home in Bainbridge with Daniel DeGarmo officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military
honors accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the Mills family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
