Paul Sherman Wisecup, 83, of Fruita, Colo., passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Mesa Manor Center in Grand Junction.
Paul grew up in Greenfield and graduated from Edward Lee McClain High School. He served in the Navy Air Anti-Submarine Squad as an Airman during the Cold War from 1958-1964.
He owned and co-owned Keystone Construction in Montrose and RMBC Butler/LESTER Dealership in Grand Junction. For over 50 years, Paul was an active supporter of the Rotary Club additionally a Paul Harris Diamond Member. He dedicated his life to countless people, community projects, organizations and committees.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Brouse) Wisecup of Fruita, Colo.; children, Kelly Wisecup of Ohio, Kenny Wisecup of Colorado, Jeff Wisecup of Ohio and Tyler and Tara Wisecup of Washington D.C.; stepchildren, Hoss Port of Colorado, Tracy Port of Colorado, Clinton “Rob” and Heather Courtney of Fruita, Colo. and Stephen Courtney of Colorado; six grandsons; 11 step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Brown (Marian Barlett) of Ohio; father, Joseph Wisecup of Ohio; and brother, Kenneth Wisecup of South Salem.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 29 at 3 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield beginning with a veteran’s appreciation service. Burial of cremains will follow at the South Salem Cemetery, where military rites will be provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
